Salons is a concept that allows members an opportunity to gather with peers to discuss issues pertinent to their career, their practice, and the Financial Planning profession. Salons are educational in nature, but also carry the benefits of a sounding board, different perspectives, and community-building.
Salons give you flexibility of topic, time, and location. Salons are a member-only benefit sure to give an intimate and effective “study group” atmosphere to topics that are of particular interest to many.
2012 Salon Dates - (Various location and times):
February 8th, May 9th, August 8th, October 10th

Behavior Economics has much research on how people make financial decisions and what helps and hinders good decision making. This program identifies the critical concepts as they apply to each stage of the Financial Planning process and discusses how we can slightly change some of the common Financial Planner behavior to make it easier and more comfortable for clients to make informed financial decisions. Carol S. Craigie, ChFC, CFP® is a psychologist turned Financial Planner. During her career, she has been Director of Financial Planning for Key Bank, Wells Fargo and JP Morgan Chase. As part of her positions, she defined the process, software and client experience utilizing her knowledge of psychology and financial planning. 20 years ago she authored “The Psychology of Money” and recently consulted with a large software firm and a major financial institution on how to change their software to utilize known behavioral economic concepts. She also authored an 11 page
